As you may or may not know, Kevin and I are re-designing the Mobile Computing Platform, for G1. As the company moves from start-up to main stream, the software is required to process increasingly complex marketing campaigns, a wider variety of content and interface with new and different technologies. The existing software has proved the G1 business case and the board has approved the development of a new super platform.

We are developing the new platform using an industry standard technique, called UML. This is a user-centric approach, where the software is developed according to the needs of YOU the user and the special case of user, THE CUSTOMER. (Novel isn’t it).

Consequently we want to workshop your USE CASES as part of the requirements gathering stage. That is, what you use the platform for, what you want to use it for, what you wish it would do and how you want to see it operate. This doesnt mean it will run to the toilet and make cups of tea, but it doesn mean we fully understand the requirements.

We will be talking to the project key STAKEHOLDERS, who are the key users or representatives of the users of the new platform.
